The less said about the end of the 2019/20 Sky Bet League One campaign. A global pandemic brought the season to a premature end, and Posh missed out on a Play-Off place on a points per game basis.

It was a real shame. Posh were looking really good and as if they were ready to make a late charge for promotion, and our site had really started to do well after it was relaunched in January.

There’s no point looking backwards, so instead we’re planning ahead for what will hopefully be a successful year for both our site and Posh themselves.

We really enjoyed bringing you unique content for the few months before COVID-19 ended the season, and the 2020/21 season presents another opportunity for us to deliver the content that you guys wanna see!

Because of this, we’ve decided to get rid of your generic match previews/reports. The reason for this is because we know that the majority of people will read articles like this from the official club or Alan Swann at the Peterborough Telegraph.

Instead, we will be continuing with our ‘opposition verdict’ pieces. These articles saw us chat with the fan of our upcoming opponents before the game, and they went down really well last season with our supporters, as well as fans of other clubs.

We are also looking to create a few new series that will appear on the site, and we have a couple of good ideas in the pipeline that we hope you guys will like.

One place we have always struggled is when it comes to pictures, so we are looking to build up our gallery ahead of the new season. Obviously with no fans being allowed to attend games as it stands that might be difficult, but in the coming weeks we are hopeful of finding someone who attends a large percentage of games to get as many photos as they can to add to our gallery.

Another thing that we are planning on doing that we think will help take us to the next level is to get Posh fans on doing regular feature/opinion pieces. Having the guest publications on the site will allow for a different point of view to be seen by you guys, and it will give people a chance to have their writing published.

We really want our website to work in perfect tandem with our twitter page, so we will be much more active on social media in this coming season. We will be giving you guys much more of a chance to get involved, with fan giveaways, plenty of polls and creating some threads for fans to share their opinions with each other. Head over to follow both our Twitter and our instagram (WeAreThePosh on both) to make sure you don’t miss out!

If anyone is interested in helping us out, whether it be with writing, or doing a few bits on the social media for our Twitter or Instagram pages then please get in touch via our DMs on Twitter!
